We’ve been on the lookout for a good DIY pizza making activity for kids in KL.
It all started after little E watched an episode of Blippi, where he visits a kitchen and learns how Italian pizza is made completely from scratch. That was it, he was hooked, and all he wanted after that was to make his own pizza.
Turns out we didn’t have to look far. myPizzaLab runs a DIY pizza-making session for kids, and it’s free when you order a regular pizza.
So in early July, we headed to their Bukit Jalil outlet on a Wednesday night to let little E give it a go. Read on to find out about our experience.

What the DIY Pizza Making Activity Was Like
Little E got his own dough, pizza sauce, and a spread of toppings to build his own pizza from scratch. On offer at our table: cheese, basil, chicken, pineapple, and orange slices.
He got a pair of gloves too, to keep his hands clean while he spread the sauce and piled on his toppings.
The staff at Bukit Jalil were friendly and helpful, helping little E along the way without taking over the fun. Mummy and daddy joined in the fun too, helping him decorate his pizza along the way.
Once he was done decorating, he got to watch his own pizza go into the oven, which was a small thrill on its own. A few minutes later, it came out hot and ready to eat, fresh from his own hands.
Little E was genuinely excited to eat something that he made himself.
Our Pizza Dinner at Bukit Jalil
One thing worth mentioning: parking at the Bukit Jalil outlet was easy to find, and the place wasn’t crowded at all on a weeknight, which made it a relaxed spot for little E to take his time decorating his pizza without feeling rushed.
We also ordered the Huat The Duck pizza and Honey BBQ Wings for the table, both of which were delicious. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the other pizza flavours on the menu.
Fun Fact
The pizza little E made turned out really yummy, probably because he piled on every single topping provided. And since he made it himself, he ended up eating way more than usual. Mummy and daddy got to enjoy it too, since there was plenty to go around.
How the Promotion Works
If you want to try this with your own kids, here’s the gist. It’s free for kids aged 10 and below, with a minimum spend of RM30 on pizzas.
Your child needs to be there in person, since the staff bake the pizza fresh on the spot. Limit: one free kids pizza per child.
It’s available every day, including public holidays and weekends, so it fits around your schedule rather than the other way around, and it’s for in-store orders only.
One thing to note: this doesn’t stack with other vouchers or discounts, so it’s simplest to just treat it as part of a normal dine-in order.

Between the hands-on fun for little E and a proper meal for the rest of the family, it ended up being a more memorable outing than we expected.
