    • Kids get to use an ATM card at the kid-friendly ATM machine – to check bank balance and withdraw fake money! (collect the ATM card at the reception counter upon registration).
    • The RM1 million challenge game on the screen teaches the children the difference between spending for needs and wants.
    • Kids can explore tracing Malaysian coin patterns with paper and colour pencils.
    • Bank note stamping allows children to engage with currency, hands on.

  • Kids Maze at the G Floor in front of the carpark lift – Little E had a few minutes of fun, walking through this small maze which I was registering at the reception counter.
  • Children Gallery (Ground Floor) – There is a section that sparks creativity in children at the Temporary Gallery. One of its most engaging features is allowing kids to colour and design their own versions of money or coins. This section offers an in-depth look into the Central Bank of Malaysia role in maintaining the country’s financial and monetary stability. Here, we explore the Governor’s Room, which highlights the responsibilities and legacy of past governors. Other than that, the other attraction is the Investment Game, a hands-on activity that lets visitors simulate investment decisions, learning about risks and returns.

If you want to see economic concepts come to life, you definitely should go to the Economics Gallery. Among its key attractions are the Economic Express Exhibit, which takes you on a journey through Malaysia’s economic development and the Giant Newspaper Cuttings, a dramatic visual representation of past headlines that shaped the nation’s financial story.

  • Numismatics Gallery (2nd Floor)

This gallery dives into the history of money, both in Malaysia and globally. Visitors can explore ancient coins, rare currencies and exhibits like the River of Coins and World Banknotes. Kids especially enjoy the Barter Trade game, which demonstrates early trade systems, and other interactive displays that allow them to handle replicas and playfully learn about the evolution of money.

  • Temporary Gallery (2nd Floor)

As for rotating exhibits by the temporary gallery, it featured a fintech-themed experience during our visit. It highlighted how financial technology is reshaping the way people interact with money. This included interactive displays, short videos and digital learning stations that showcased innovations like e-wallets, online banking and blockchain.

  • Art Gallery (3rd Floor)

Located on the top floor, the Art Gallery displays works by Malaysian and Southeast Asian artists. This gallery is quieter. For art lovers, it is a serene escape into the region’s creative spirit. We didn’t spend too much time here because we were afraid that little E might touch the artwork.
