Our family recently visited Farm in The City in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, an outdoor children friendly petting zoo attraction in Klang Valley because Little E said he wanted to see some animals.

What We Like About Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan
- Variety Of Animals
Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan features a wide variety of farm and exotic animals from different countries. Some of our favourites were the Aldrabra giant tortoises, ring-tailed lemurs and Fallabella horses.

- Close, Interactive Animal Encounters
One of the main highlights is the close interaction with animals, where adults and kids can touch, feed, and sometimes hold the animals while understanding their habitats and lifestyles.
- Family-Friendly & Educational
The farm provides a family-friendly environment that encourages learning through experience. Visitors can learn about animal behaviour, habitats, and feeding habits through direct interaction and explanations from staff.

- Feed The Animals
You can purchase an animal feed bucket at RM10 each, to feed the selected animals. Little E was really excited to feed the animals and watch them chomp down the food. There are also various animal feeding activities including pigeon, pelican, lemur, otter, lorikeet, meerkat, porcupine and more at different times daily.

- See The Animal Shows
Catch the entertaining Parrot Show at Kampung Mahmood at 11.30am or 3pm. See the animal parade at 11.15am on weekends and Public Holidays.

- Outdoors With Shade
The farm is quite shady, with many trees and greenery that create a comfortable walking environment. We visited around 10.15am, the weather was not too hot, despite being under the sun.
- Well-Kept And Maintained Farm
Despite being a farm, the odor from the animals was not too strong which shows that the farm is well-kept and properly maintained with clean pathways and animal enclosures. Although the space is not very large, it is well-organised with a compact layout that makes it easy for families to explore without feeling overwhelmed.
- Friendly Staff And Animal Keepers
There are many friendly staff members and animal keepers around the farm that are knowledgeable and ready to answer every question you or your kids have about the farm and animals.
- Rest Areas
Visitors can take a break at the Corner Mark Restaurant or Kampung Cafe to sit and enjoy some refreshments.
Main Attractions in Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan
- Turtle Farm
The Turtle Farm houses a variety of turtles and tortoises from different species, some of which can live for many years. Visitors can feed, observe their slow movements and learn about their unique characteristics and habitats.

- Bird Aviary
The Bird Aviary is a large enclosure where birds are allowed to fly freely. Colourful birds including parrots and peacocks can be seen up close, making the experience exciting and immersive. You can feed some of the birds here.

- Savanna
The Savanna section features larger animals including deer, alpacas, goats, and sheep in an open natural grazing environment. See how these animals move and interact with each other.
- Mood’s Lake
Mood’s Lake is a scenic attraction where water birds including ducks, swans, and geese can be seen swimming. The calm surroundings make it a relaxing spot on the farm.

- Pet Village
Pet Village features small and friendly animals like rabbits and guinea pigs. Visitors are allowed to touch, feed, and gently hold some of the animals. Little E has fun feeding and petting the animals here. Kids can try to catch some of the fishes with hand netting at the longkang fishing section.


- Jungle Walk
Jungle Walk has shaded paths in a small forest environment. Along the way, visitors can see unique animals including iguanas, porcupines, and other exotic species. The walkway provides an adventurous experience while remaining safe and organised.
- Twilight Creatures
Twilight Creatures is a special section that showcases animals that are active after dark or at night. See owls and other nocturnal species in this section.
- Pony Riding
Children can ride gentle ponies under proper supervision by trained staff.

- Senior (>60 years) And Child (<11 years): RM32 (MyKad), RM48 (Foreigner)
- Free entry for children with height below 90cm.

How To Get To Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan
- By Car
There is free onsite parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis when you drive to Farm In The City. If the onsite parking lots are filled up, you can park in the paid parking lots opposite the farm in front of the shoplots.
- By MRT
You can reach Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan by taking the MRT to Putra Permai (PY37) Station by the MRT Putrajaya Line, then take a 5 minutes walk to Farm In The City.
- By Feeder Bus
Journey using the MRT feeder bus on the T544 or T542 route, then stop at MRT Putra Permai station (SJ884) or Pusat Bandar Putra Permai Selatan (SJ835) which is about a 5 minutes walk to Farm In The City.
Tips For Visiting Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan
- Visit early in the morning
The best time to visit Farm In The City is early in the morning when the animals are more active and hungry for food. Towards noon, some animals may already be full and less interested in food. or visit in the late afternoon where the weather is cooler and some animals tend to be more active.
- Watch out for animal droppings
Do open your eyes and pay attention to where they walk, especially in open areas where animals roam freely to avoid stepping on animal poop on the ground!
- Be mindful of animal safety
Animal safety is an important aspect of the visit. Do follow all warning signs and instructions provided. Animals should only be fed with designated food from the farm, no outside food is allowed. Also be cautious with your fingers, especially when feeding birds like parrots.
- Convenient to wash hands
There are plenty of taps with sinks in Farm In The City for guests to wash their hands especially after feeding or touching the animals, including some at children’s height.
- No outside food allowed
Visitors are not allowed to bring outside food into the farm premises. Staff members will check bags before entry to ensure that this rule is followed so animals are not fed outside food.

What To Pack When Visiting Farm In The City?
- Mosquito repellent
Farm In The City is mostly outdoor areas surrounded by greenery, mosquito repellent is a must to prevent mosquito bites especially on children.
- Hat or Cap
Since this is an outdoor farm, wearing a hat helps prevent sunburn and heat exposure. Do bring a hat or a cap to provide you with protection from the sun and keep cool while exploring the farm.
- Sunscreen
Before entering the farm, do apply some sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays.
- Small Towel Or Wet Wipes
Carrying a small towel or wet wipes is useful because you may get sweaty while walking around the farm or need to clean your hands after feeding or touching animals.
- Water Bottle
Walking around the farm can be tiring, especially for children which is why bringing a water bottle is highly recommended to stay hydrated.
- Comfortable Walking Shoes
Do wear comfortable walking shoes as the farm has many outdoor paths and areas to explore.

How long does it take to visit Farm in The City, Seri Kembangan?
Our family spent around 2 hours which is enough time for us to feed, pet, see and take photos with the animals.
Do aim to allocate about 1.5 to 3 hours exploring Farm In The City, depending on the pace, break time allocation and level of interaction with the animals.
Is It Worth Going To Farm In The City, Seri Kembangan?
Yes, a visit to Farm In The City is definitely worthwhile, especially for families with younger children. There are many animals to see, feed, and interact with, making it both an entertaining and educational experience.
